Can Centravac Central Vacuum Systems be installed in my present home?
Yes! Virtually any home, from new to decades old, can enjoy the cleaning power of a Centravac vacuum system installed in just 4-6 hours without mess or disturbing walls by one of our professional installers.

How many outlets does each property need?
Each system is tailored to suit the building. Private homes average 2 to 6 outlets. Hotels and larger properties average 10 to 30 outlets.

How even is the power of the System from the nearest to the furthest outlet?
The System performs at 100% over 200 feet of ducting irrespective of outlets. Power remains constant from all outlets.

How easy is it to install?
On average a detached house takes 4 to 6 hours. A large building such as an existing hotel would take 3 to 5 days for 2 installers. A new building would be completed in 2 stages: first fix the electrics then final plaster stage.

Is there any damage during installation into existing properties?
The System is fitted without any damage to decor and little mess is created using fully trained engineers with no disruption to electricity supply or normal routines.

Do you need an outlet in every room?
No, installing outlets in central areas like hallways and landings allows several rooms to be serviced from one outlet.

How often do you empty the system?
2 or 3 times a year in a domestic situation.

Can I use the Centravac Central Vacuum System to clean hardwood, vinyl or ceramic tile floors?
Yes! Use the bare floor tool or install one of our most popular options, the VacPan automatic dustpan. It's ideal for removing debris from the kitchen, bathroom or any other room. Simply sweep trash towards the automatic dustpan, touch the toe switch and use the power of your Centravac to instantly remove it. No more dustpans or stooping over to pick up swept debris.

How do I maintain a Centravac central vacuum system?
Centravac central vacuum systems are practically maintenance free. No lubrication or cleaning is ever required. Centravac's filters have an self-cleaning design which are extremely strong. The filter shakes off dirt and protects the motor so a Centravac central vacuum system works like new every time. Because the filter is permanent, there is never a need to replace dirty, messy bags. Just empty the dirt receptacle 2 to 3 times per year.

How does a Centravac central vacuum system work?
The Centravac central vacuum systems allow you to carry a cleaning attachment on the end of a long, lightweight hose. When you plug the hose into a wall or floor receptacle, the vacuum turns on automatically. Dust and debris travel through the hose into a pipeline of PVC tubing that runs through house walls, floors or attic to a large power unit / dirt-collection power vacuum unit mounted in the basement, garage or utility room. The exhaust air is extracted outside the house. Remove the hose and the system shuts off.

What voltage is it and does it conform to regulations?
Centravac Systems are manufactured in 240 volts and require only a basic 13-amp socket. Every System is supplied fully C E approved.

Are there any health benefits for users?
Asthma, Hayfever, Rhinitis and Eczema suffers who have an allergy to house dust and dustmites will find the Centravac System invaluable.

What about wet carpets or wet floors?
Using the Centravac Wet Pick-up Adapter Kit you can vacuum all areas including showers and bathrooms etc. It even has the power to unblock sinks and drains.

How do you prevent blockages?
The System is designed not to block.
